This is a modern take on the windbreaker cape, the kind you can keep in your pocket ready to wear on a long descent or during the first hour of riding until the day warms up. Originally, this jacket was very basic – a simple nylon cape – but the lack of stretch meant it had to be cut at the back of the hips to fit all body types, both on and off the bike. We completely rethought what a windbreaker cape should be and how it should be made. We added panels on the hips and the sleeves are made from a very stretchy yet tightly woven fabric that gives the jacket a modern, snug look and helps retain more heat compared to a flapping jacket. We made it super compact so it can be stored taking up minimal space in a jersey pocket. The stretch panels are treated to be water-repellent, which will help in light drizzle, but it is not designed to be a true rain jacket.
