This album is a valuable recording from a documentary point of view, following , which contains the Piano Concerto No. 1 with the same composition as "Hamamatsu City Museum of Musical Instruments Collection Series 35". The first German edition of the 1836 score was used in an attempt to follow the performance custom of the time in which the concerto was performed as small chamber music, rather than with a full orchestra.
