Released four years before Monolithic Baby! God Says No is typical of the band. A sprawling melange of fuzzed guitars, bass notes so deep they make your spine quiver and a swirling curtain of psyched out noise containing patterns and shapes so substantial you could reach out and touch them.

The lyrics veer between the farcical, the misogynistic and the offensive, and oftentimes manage to simultaneously embrace all three. But, rather than foment outrage, they become an integral part of the whole. Without them Monster Magnet would be half the band.
