The Crosby S-253 Web Sling Shackle is purpose-built for use with web and round slings, featuring a squared-off bow that improves load distribution and sling alignment. This specialized shape helps eliminate bunching and enables the sling to maintain its full Working Load Limit, increasing lifting efficiency by at least 15% compared to standard anchor or chain shackles.

The wide internal surface area minimizes wear on synthetic slings and offers more even tension distribution across the contact points. This translates to better sling performance and longer service life, particularly when connecting to pad eyes, lifting lugs, or eye bolts.

Each S-253 shackle is made in the USA from forged alloy steel and includes a screw pin closure. The surface finish provides a slip-resistant grip to keep slings stable and secure under load. Shackles are stamped with the PIC, working load limit, and Crosby brand for easy traceability and inspection.
