The SPIET800 is a high-performance Ethernet Computer Interface Unit (CIU) transmission module designed for the ABB Symphony Plus and Harmony Rack automation platforms. Serving as a direct technological successor to the legacy INIET800, the SPIET800 provides the critical hardware bridge required to interface the high-speed Infi-Net communication ring with modern Ethernet-based plant networks. This module allows for seamless data transfer between the Distributed Control System (DCS) controllers and operator workstations, historians, or third-party applications.
