The Nikon F2SB is one of Nikon's best cameras, with fully mechanical speeds to 1/2000s and a DP-3 metering prism compatible with any Nikon lens with an indexing tab (those little rabbit ears). The F2 is Nikon's last all-mechanical professional SLR, and possibly their best camera ever (this is an opinion only, not a guarantee). Cosmetic condition is good, with light brassing and paint wear.

Body and prism are just back from a complete overhaul by F2 specialist Sover Wong, for years of trouble-free service. Service notes are below.

Camera notes:

• Removed dust and debris inside the camera
• Removed all old internal and external foams, cleaned surfaces and then applied new foams
• Modified the battery chamber, see Photo 6
• Replaced the tripod plate, see Photo 7
• Lubricated the base, winding, shutter and mirror mechanisms
• Cleaned the internal flash switch contacts
• Cleaned the mirror
• Calibrated all shutter speeds to within 1/4rd stop accuracy, see screen capture
• Checked flash sync is OK at 1/80s
• Checked B, T, 10s, rewind, frame counter, MLU and DOF are OK

Prism notes:

• Removed dust inside the finder
• Replaced the worn ring resistor with my super one, see Photo 5
• Cleaned and refoamed the prism, see Photo 6
• Refoamed the eye piece frame and cleaned the lens, see Photos 1 & 7 for before and after
• Replaced the broken lever, see Photo 8
• Calibrated the meter, and checked it's accurate to within 1/5th stop from LV5 (1s f8 200ASA) to LV15 (1/1000s f8 200ASA)
• Replaced the rotten meter cover, see Photo 9. 
• Refoamed the base
• Replaced top LED
