Tune-Yards, which started as a solo project of Oakland, California-based Merrill Garbus and has released three albums on <4AD>, has released its first new album in three and a half years since its last one "Nikki Nack"! The new album features a duo formation with longtime production partner Nate Brenne, and contains 12 songs on various social issues such as race, politics, feminism, and the environment, and is more dynamic and dance music oriented than the previous albums. The album was mixed by Mikaelin "Blue" Bluespruce, who has worked with Solange and Kendrick Lamar, and mastered by Dave Kutch, who has worked with Jay-Z and Chance The Rapper.
