To cure, in our culture, we recommend first boiling room temperature water in 3/4 of the jar. Allow jar to completely cool, this step is very important. After, it is recommended to make an atole or oatmeal to help seal the pores of the surface one last time. Allow jar to completely cool, and should be ready to use on any stovetop, oven, or fire pit. Perfect for making cafe de olla, beans, soups, and guisados.
