This series of eight books, A to H, expands on the standards-based strategies taught in our CARS and STARS Series. Students use independent practice with graphic organisers and writing prompts to apply their understanding of the strategy. Extension activities are given in every lesson. Teacher-directed introduction and scaffolded models focus students' attention on mastery of the targeted strategy. Each student book contains eight ten-page strategy lessons, eight one-page practice lessons and a final review assesses all eight reading strategies.
