The Mega Jul is Edelrid's most versatile belay and abseil device, an absolute all-star when you're tacking multi-pitch routes at the crag or in an alpine environment. This belay device shines when belaying a leader or bringing up seconds, while also providing a safe rappel. High braking performance assists the belayer with aggressive or sudden leader falls by squeezing the rope, while the rope can be paid out faster to a leader on the sharp end by holding the device in the "open" position with the thumb. Your thumb, that defining appendage, controls the device's friction, whether catching your buddy or paying out for a desperate clip.

Included in this package, the HMS Bulletproof FG is an innovative and robust carabiner with a steel insert at the apex and an internal spring bar to prevent cross loading and maintain correct orientation on your harness. Combining the advantages of both steel and aluminum carabiners, the steel insert protects against the wear of countless rappels while the rest of the carabiner is made from lightweight aluminium.
