Plategrip Curved Template 360 is a curved (bias-angle) layout template for marking hole positions on belt ends before installing Plategrip bolt plate fasteners with a bias splice angle. Sized for a 60-inch belt width.

What is a bias splice: A bias splice (also called angle splice or curved splice) cuts the belt at an angle rather than straight across (90 degrees). The result is a longer splice line that distributes load over a greater area, smooths belt operation over pulleys, and reduces splice stress on conveyors with frequent direction changes or higher speeds.

What this template does: The curved template lays across the belt at the bias angle and provides hole guides spaced for the Plategrip bolt pattern. The installer marks holes through the template, then drills or punches the marked positions. Without a template, hole positioning at a bias angle is error-prone and produces inconsistent splices.

When to use bias vs straight splices: Bias splices are recommended for high-speed conveyors, conveyors with reversing direction, troughed belts, and any application where splice fatigue or noise are concerns. Straight (square) splices are fine for slower steady-direction conveyors.
