Remi Barrault, known for his unusual interpretations of Bruckner, is back with his latest Bruckner recording this year! The symphony concert held in the abbey church where the composer served as organist in his youth is the highlight of the Bruckner Festival held every summer in St. Florian, near Linz in northern Austria, and attracts discerning Bruckner fans from the UK, USA, and other countries. In the summer of 2018, the seventh symphony was finally performed, and Barrault did not disappoint the expectations of the cognoscenti with a unique interpretation that took full advantage of the unusual acoustic space with its 10-second reverberation.
