Lucinda Chua, who has attracted everyone from FKA Twigs to The Cinematic Orchestra with her deeply soothing voice and profound ambient/drone sound using cello, has released her long-awaited first album from the prestigious 4AD label! This album, which was produced and engineered by Lucinda Chua herself, contains a total of 10 tracks, including the previously released "Golden" and "Echo," that showcase the conflicts and traumas she has faced as a Londoner with Asian roots, and the deep fountain-like landscape that slowly ripples out from her identity. The title "YIAN" is a Chinese word. The title "YIAN" means "swallow" in Chinese, and this migratory bird is entrusted with an introspective journey that transcends language, creating a unique worldview that is serene, bewitching, and comfortable at times. The CD of the domestic distribution version of this work includes a commentary and a bilingual lyrics translation.
