Compressed air dryers reduce the quantity of water vapor, liquid water, hydrocarbon, and hydrocarbon vapor in compressed air. Moisture in compressed air is harmful. Water damages a compressed air system several ways. The result is lower productivity, increased maintenance, and higher operating costs. You can minimize the damage wet compressed air can inflict on your system by drying it.

Application

l      Paint Spray Gun (gravity, siphon, and pressure feed styles)

l      Air measuring instruments (requiring clean, dry air)

Function

l      Coalescing filter - removes oil vapors, which can get past standard filters and water separators.

l      Desiccant dryer – reduces humidity in compressed air lines, a MUST HAVE for paint spraying operations.

l      The Red Service Indicator will rise when filter element needs to be changed.

l      Desiccant beads change color from blue to pink when they to be changed or reactivated.

l      0.01μ filter element removes 99.9% of oil vapor particles.

l      Clear bowl with metal guards provides easy viewing for contents as well as providing impact protection.

Recommendations

l      It is recommended to install a standard air filter/water separator in front of the air cleaner / dryer to remove larger debris (>5μ)and condensed water.

l      It is also recommended to have a shutoff valve upstream of the air cleaner / dryer for easy depressurization for service.
