Since Mopar discontinued their lower water inlet tube (part number 04884291AA) for the 2.4 Turbo, we have stepped up and had our own MPx lower water inlet tubes made for the community.

Mopar used regular steel to build their tubes and painted them. Many years later, many of the Mopar coolant tubes are rotting and rusting from the inside out and leaking. This is why we decided to make them out of T-304 stainless steel. Stainless steel will last much longer and is more durable in this application.

This lower water inlet tube can also fit the non turbo 2.4 engines, but will need some massaging to fit. There is an expansion plug directly behind the lower water inlet tube near the water pump that interferes. You could grind some of the casting away, or hammer some of this tube in for clearance around the expansion plug to make this fit the non turbo 2.4. Please see our attached photo that shows the expansion plug boss and this water tube.

This MPx Stainless steel water inlet tube has all of the tabs, bends, and forms just like the OEM piece. If you do not have an o-ring, be sure to buy one at the bottom of this listing!

For those of you buying new hose while installing this, the outlet tube is 7/8 size, so buy 7/8 from your local auto parts store.
