The assembly shall be installed with sufficient side clearance for testing and maintenance. The Zurn 4-500XL3F may be installed in any position. Multiple installations, in series (back to back) are recommended for wide demand variations or where the desired pressure reduction is more than 3 to 1 (ie: 150 psi inlet reduced to 50 psi outlet).

A: The valve comes factory preset at 50 psi with a standard adjustable range of 15 psi to 75 psi (25-75 psi reduced pressure range with standard spring).
Q: Does the valve require a downstream pressure gauge for adjustment?
A: Yes, anytime the reducing valve is adjusted, a downstream pressure gauge must be used to verify correct pressure setting. The valve body is tapped and plugged for gauge installation (1/4 NPT).
