The OX1 Optical Explorer is a handheld, ultra-simple, and ultra-fast tool offering multiple test functions to verify any short- to medium-length (up to 40km) optical links and their components. It is particularly well suited for installation and repair jobs. For units with wireless capabilities, it can work in association with a smart device equipped with the EXFO Exchange mobile application allowing users to document the test results, archive them, and generate reports.

All measurements are part of a job. A local job can be create on unit or a cloud-based job can be created using EXFO Exchange mobile application and transferred to unit. All measurements are kept in memory.
