1938 Bugatti type 57SC Atlantic 'Pope'
The fourth and final production Atlantic carries the chassis no. 57591. Its first owner was a British tennis player - Richard B. Pope and was delivered to him in May 1938. The car was painted a 'rich sapphire blue' allegedly to match his fiancée's engagement ring.
The final version of the car was delivered and used by Pope without the rear wheel spats or the turned aluminium wheel covers, with the wire wheels painted in the same blu as the bodywork.
