Self-adhesive Reflect-A-Cool or Reflect-A-Gold helps to keep your fuel temperatures stable, in turn retaining engine performance and avoiding vapor lock. Use either Reflect-A-Cool for temperatures up to 400°F (200°C) designed for normal fuels, or Reflect-A-Gold for temperatures up to 850°F (450°C) designed for special racing fuels. Also great to reduce the chance that engine or exhaust heat burns through covers, bags and fairing parts. Installation is simple; simply cut to shape and press onto surface. Kit can be used on tanks with metal, plastic or fiberglass bodies. Each kit includes a 24"x24" (60 cmx60 cm) sheet of material and a 1.5"x15 feet (3.8 cm wide, 4.5 meter long) roll of tape to cover gaps and irregular shapes.

GAS TANKS The zinc-chromate primer finish on some of our tanks is provided for the protection of the tanks during shipment and storage. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage. Fuel capacity is measured with tank in upright position, angle of parked bike will determine actual capacity of the fuel tank.
