Since his impressive debut at the Vienna State Opera, John Ken Nuzzo has been active on the world stage with a rare voice that has been called "heaven-sent. In recent years, he has collaborated with world-renowned singer Placido Domingo and horn player Radek Babolak. His overwhelming singing and unwavering musicality have received extremely high acclaim from all quarters. This album, entitled "NUZZO meets PUCCINI," includes live recordings from a recital tour in 2018, the 160th anniversary of Puccini's birth, held at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center in June. Puccini is known as the author of some of Italy's most famous operas, including "Tosca," "Madama Butterfly," and "La bohème. Although his songs are rarely performed today due to the scarcity of his works, they are masterpieces with beautiful melodies rich in emotion, as quoted in his own operas in his later years. (C)RS
