Mustang Laredo style steel gas tank as we have used it on our "Captain Larry". Tanks hold 3.1 Gallon (11.5L), are 17" (43cm) long, 11 1/2" (29cm) wide, have a 2" (5cm) wide low tunnel and a 3/8 NPT right center petcock opening, as well as rear left and right 1/4 NPT connections. Has universal brackets that makes it easy to mount it to almost any stock or custom frame. Like all Zodiac gas tanks these are made from heavy gauge steel. The Mustang Laredo style ribbed gas tank for example weighs in at 3.25kg (7.2 Lbs).

GAS TANKS The zinc-chromate primer finish on some of our tanks is provided for the protection of the tanks during shipment and storage. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage. Fuel capacity is measured with tank in upright position, angle of parked bike will determine actual capacity of the fuel tank.
