Description:
Violinist of the Tetzlaff Quartet! Works for Solo Violin & Solo Viola Elisabet Kupferath is a German violinist and violist who plays violin in the Tetzlaff Quartet led by Christian Tetzlaff. She has been concert mistress of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and currently teaches at the Hanover University of Music. Zimmermann, Schachtner, Eötvös, and four contemporary composers have written eight works for violin and viola respectively. They switch between violin and viola with great dexterity and perform inspired music. Three of the pieces, "Outline," "Pateia," and "Dissonance," were written especially for Cufferato and are recorded for the first time in the world; the "Dissonance" for two violas is a multiple recording, with both parts played by Cufferato.
