Her current weaving practice explores the interplay of colour, texture and weave structure to create textiles with a practical purpose. From humble tea towels and utility cloths through to elegant evening shawls and scarves,

Jessica pushes the boundaries of every weave structure she encounters.

She learns something from every piece she weaves.

Jessica’s current focus is on historical textiles: how they were woven, how significant they were to the cultures and economies of their time, and to revisit how we lived before plastics and disposables dominated our lives.
