Jojoba became popular when it was recognized in the 1970’s to replace ingredients derived from whale hunting. Jojoba berries form on a 7 – 15 foot tree that can take up to five years to mature. This plant is known for withstanding drought, making it ideal to grow in arid, low rain environments like the high deserts of the Andes. This ingredient is organically grown and processed in Peru.
