Stefano Battaglia Trio 、 Stefano Battaglia/Stefano Battaglia Trio
Description:
Italian pianist Stefano Battaglia makes his ECM debut with "Raccolto" in 2003, focusing on Bill Evans and Paul Bley, whom he admires greatly. Battaglia, who has worked on tributes to Italian film director Pasolini and others, will be joined by American composer Alec Wilder, known for his popular songs, chamber music, and operas sung by Peggy Lee, the Mills Brothers, Frank Sinatra, and others. After working with Wilder's chamber music, "I wanted to get deeper into his musical world and was discovering some hidden treasures. I was discovering hidden treasures." He said. The trio sound with Salvatore Maiore on the bass is rhythmically surprising, deep and fascinating, and Roberto Dani's free drumming takes us into a fantastic world, with a special balance that is very pleasant.
