The Brecker Brothers have been active for only six years, but their "Return Of The Brecker Brothers", a reboot released in 1992, was nominated for three Grammy Awards, and in 1994 they released "Out Of The Loop". Out Of The Loop" was also released in 1994. It won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Jazz Performance, and "African Skies," from the same album, won the Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition.Recorded at Tokyo's Yuport Hall on March 13, 1995, the album features a performance by the legendary Brecker Brothers in Japan, featuring George Whitty (kbds), who also played on "Return Of The Brecker Brothers" and was the producer of "Out Of The Loop".
