The French virtuoso François Dumont won the 5th prize at the 16th Chopin International Piano Competition in 2010, a year of rare success in recent years, with young talents such as Avdeyeva, Trifonov, Genuchus, Wunder, and many more. In a series of Bach's keyboard works played on a Steinway, the lush, core tone produced by his careful touch and his superb construction ability let us hear the wonder of his harmony and counterpoint.
