The Moon Pendant has a 4mm genuine square pyramid cut Black Spinel from Columbia Gem House. The juxtaposition of the square pyramid cut Spinel with the repeated circle motif of the pendant creates a calming response.

The pendant is approximately 1.25" in diameter and hangs from a 17” multi strand black ruthenium plated sterling silver collar with a 14kt gold barrel clasp.

When thinking of the environmental impacts of working with gold, sometimes I hand fabricate from 'in the studio' repurposing 18kt yellow gold, which means I melt down leftover gold, roll it into sheet gold and hand fabricate it into new jewelry. Repurposed gold in studio is the most environmental process to reuse gold. The Moon Pendant was hand fabricated from this type of 18kt yellow gold, giving it a lower environmental impact score.
