This is the debut disc of the trio Bawandi, formed by clarinetist Patrick Hollich of the Hamburg State Opera and Hamburg Philharmonic. The trio features the clarinet trios of Robert Kahn, highly acclaimed by Brahms, and Vincent d'Indy, considered the heir apparent to César Franck. Kahn's Trio, dedicated to the famous clarinetist Richard Muehlfeldt and performed by him, and Dandy's Trio, which adopts a cyclic form inherited from his teacher Franck, are rarely performed today, but this time these works will be revived from a new perspective by these young players.
