Luna Replicas brings you the continuation of our flagship line, "Flite Wear" Type 4 Gold NASA flight jackets.  These jackets are built from the ground up using historic examples to recreate the original jackets, exactly as they were made for the early Shuttle era

All facets match the original Type 4 jackets exactly: including single-piece woven cuffs, reinforced sleeve zipper, navy blue colored main zipper, original new-old-stock black enameled pocket snaps, heavy white "combat nylon" lining fabric, and a water-resistant royal blue shell fabric that is indistinguishable from the original & modern Astronaut flight jackets. 

These jackets are water resistant and ready for any mission!  Wear your jacket proudly knowing that it can withstand the elements.

Each jacket comes with a vintage-style "Type 5" NASA logo patch sewn on the right chest.  These patches are embroidered on original machinery with vintage materials, matching the originals in every way (a $25 value alone).  Also sewn to the jacket is a piece of Velcro Brand fastener loop tape for your name badge and wings on the left chest, as worn originally by NASA astronauts by the late 1970s and through today (and we now make custom vintage-style leather wings AVAILABLE HERE).
