Description:
Celebrating 60th Anniversary - Vermelt conducts the Tagakyo Symphony Orchestra Waltz of Dreams Since its founding in 1961, the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra has been known by the nickname "Tagakyo" as the only professional orchestra in Hokkaido. The orchestra is now well-known throughout Japan for their Beethoven and Sibelius symphonies with Tadaaki Otaka and German music CDs conducted by Max Pommer, etc. Matthias Bermelt, Chief Conductor since 2018, chose "Waltz" for his first recording with the FUKUCHO. The enchanting program opens with three French waltzes, continues with masterpieces from Northern and Eastern Europe, and ends with "The Vienna Waltz and its Homage". The "intelligent frenzy" of the Barnmelt and the refined mobility of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra played the dreamy "Revolving Songs". FONTEC
