"Chris, Gail and Michael Aylward were involved in the establishment of the Kooyong vineyard and winery, and after selling Kooyong in 2003, retained their 6ha pinot gris vineyard at Shoreham. After careful investigation, they purchased another property, where they have now planted 7ha of pinot noir and 3ha of chardonnay. Lean, bright & tight, the palate shows balance between fresh citrus intensity with a touch of melon and hint of ginger complimenting the fruit. A clean and crisp acid finish, the wine will develop a nice oily mouthfeel with longer time in bottle. This wine is ageing very nicely and will keep for 4-7 years for optimal drinking potential.
