When a single-sided belt just won't cut it — because your drive system needs to engage pulleys on both faces, reverse direction mid-run, or power multiple axes from one loop — you need a double-sided timing belt. Machinists, CNC builders, robotics engineers, and industrial maintenance teams rely on DH-series double-sided timing belts to keep complex drive trains running in sync without slippage or backlash.
Each belt is a closed-loop (endless) rubber timing belt with the standard H-series tooth profile on both inner and outer surfaces. The pitch is 12.7mm (1/2"), available in widths of 25mm (≈1") and 30mm (≈1-3/16"). Belt lengths range from 230DH (≈23.0", ≈584mm pitch circumference) up to 1700DH (≈170.0", ≈4318mm), covering a wide range of center distances and drive configurations. Sold individually (1 PCS per order).
Typical applications include CNC router and mill drive systems requiring reverse-direction power transmission, serpentine conveyor drives where the belt wraps around multiple idler and drive pulleys, and industrial automation equipment such as pick-and-place machines, packaging lines, and multi-axis gantry systems that demand precise, synchronous motion on both belt faces.

The DH number indicates the belt's pitch length in tenths of an inch. For example, 230DH = 23.0 inches (≈584mm) of pitch circumference. To find your size: measure your existing belt around the outside, or calculate (center distance × 2) + (sum of pulley pitch circumferences). When in doubt, size up — a slightly longer belt is generally easier to tension than one that's too short.
A double-sided timing belt has teeth on both the inner and outer surfaces. This allows the belt to drive pulleys on both sides simultaneously — useful in serpentine drive systems, reverse-direction drives, and multi-axis CNC setups where a single belt must engage two or more shafts. If your system only needs one drive face, a standard single-sided belt is typically sufficient.
Load capacity depends on belt width, length, and operating speed. Generally, the 30mm-wide variants carry higher torque than the 25mm versions. For precise load ratings, refer to your drive system's engineering specs or contact us to confirm suitability for your application before ordering.
The rubber construction offers moderate resistance to moisture and light oil exposure. However, prolonged immersion or exposure to harsh chemicals, UV radiation, or extreme temperatures may degrade performance over time. For outdoor or washdown environments, we recommend confirming suitability with your application requirements before ordering.
This belt uses the standard H-series (1/2" pitch) trapezoidal tooth profile. It is compatible with H-type timing pulleys with a 12.7mm pitch. Ensure your pulleys match the H profile and the correct belt width (25mm or 30mm) for proper tooth engagement and tracking.
Choose the width that matches your existing pulley face width. The 25mm belt is suitable for lighter-duty or space-constrained applications, while the 30mm belt handles higher torque loads. Always match belt width to pulley width — mismatched widths can cause tracking issues and premature wear.
This is a closed-loop (endless) timing belt — it has no seam or joint. Installation requires removing a shaft or bearing to slide the belt over the pulleys. It is not an open-ended belt that can be cut to length. Confirm your drive layout allows belt installation before purchasing.
