Apneumo, an ambient jazz fusion trio consisting of guitar, bass, and drums, is releasing its second mini-album on Playwright! This album features collaborations with [.que] (Nao Kakimoto), a rising star in the folktronica scene who has produced many beautiful sounds, and I Am Robot And Proud (a solo project by Shohan Ream, a Chinese-Canadian living and working in Toronto), two artists who have established an era in the electronica scene and continue to produce great music at the forefront of the scene. The nostalgic and beautiful piano sound by [.que] is the core of "unknown years" from their previous album "Twilight" (PWT82), and the nostalgic aroma of Japan deeply touches the heart ((3)).The song "lay it on," which was included in the compilation that came out of a three-man project with Gecko & Tokage Parade/colspan, has been remade by I Am Robot And Proud from the original song, filling the heart with a gentle, warm sound. ((5)(6)) The theme of this album is the story of two people connected by an enormous space (atmosphere between planets), and the focus is stronger than ever on the ambient electronica that is the backbone of the band. The album is a work of art, with an organic ensemble of poetic and passionate guitars and rhythm section, and inorganic synthesizers/sequences that produce an atmospheric shimmer, melding together to weave a beautiful, ear-washing sound.
