Poulenc wrote some 150 songs during his lifetime, most of which were adapted from his contemporaries. Poulenc's songs are poetic, and how full of emotion and musical inspiration. He never wrote a song without love," says Suzey, who has selected 13 songs from the works composed during the 30 years between 1926 and 1956, and sings them beautifully as if telling a story with his beautiful voice, which has been called a velvet voice.
