Very finely preserved 44mm [1.73 inch] white metal medallion issued for the commemorative ceremonies for the Centenary of the Baptist Missionary Society.

The front side has four cartouches, one of Africa, one of India, one of China, and one showing slave shackles reading "West Indies Emancipation." In the center is the Bible, and the outside rim has the four Baptists connected to the Serampore Mission, William Carey, William Ward, Joshua Marshman, and Andrew Fuller. 

The reverse reads "Baptist Mission Centenary. 1792-1892" and then shows the Baptist Mission House at Kettering where the Society was formed. 

Very good condition. Unusual in this state.
