The Extech EA80 is an Indoor Air Quality Meter and Datalogger that measures carbon dioxide (CO2), temperature, humidity, dew point, and wet bulb in a single handheld unit. CO2 concentration is read by a maintenance-free dual-wavelength NDIR (non-dispersive infrared) sensor, and the instrument can automatically datalog up to 20,000 sets of readings or manually store and recall up to 99 sets.

The EA80 is intended for checking air quality in schools, office buildings, greenhouses, hospitals, and anywhere that high levels of carbon dioxide are generated. Carbon dioxide concentration is one of the primary indicators of indoor air quality and ventilation adequacy, and this meter brings that measurement together with temperature and humidity readings in a portable form factor.
