Unusual flower design antique sterling silver watch fob with lovely cut out detailing. It has clear hallmarks for Chester 1906 and has makers marks. It has a large original silver jump ring with the lion passant for English silver.

I have never seen a watch fob with this flower like design and it has a blank cartouche on the front and a blank back which is also unusual in watch fobs of this era. It would look great on either a silver or gold chain or a pearl multiway necklace from my Chains and Pearls collection to create a unique and special necklace.

A fob is an adornment or a seal that hung from the ribbon or chain of a Gentleman's pocket watch. Its purpose was to decorate or add weight to the watch chain. Watch fob pendants were often given as prizes or to commemorate a special occasion or event.

 The watch fob measures 4cm x 2cm inclusive of the ring. 

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This watch fob is in great antique condition with a couple of slight indentations on the back which are hardly visible.
