Featuring LR Technology, DEI Titanium Exhaust Straps are made from crushed lava rock, twisted into textile materials and woven into a unique weave. Titanium wraps are stronger than most wraps and are designed to be more durable for improved thermal performance and reliability. Titanium wraps can withstand 2000°F direct heat and 2500° intermittent heat. Increase flow and improve performance while reducing temperature and vibration disruption. Ideal for automotive and motorcycle applications. Please note: Wraps are not designed to be removed after thermal cycling. When the fibers are heated, they lose their initial flexibility. This does not reduce the thermal properties of the exhaust wrap. Please be careful before removing the wrap. Design Engineering's high temperature silicone coating spray is not recommended for DEI titanium wraps. A note about titanium exhaust systems: DEI does not recommend wrapping titanium exhaust gases. The alloys used to make titanium exhaust systems tend to be thinner and are designed to dissipate heat quickly. By enclosing exhaust gases, the added heat makes the titanium alloy brittle and prone to premature cracking. DEI recommends using alternatives such as flexible heat shields to reduce heat in titanium exhaust systems.
