Nickerson Agar

The Nickerson Agar (BiGGY) is a culture medium specifically for the isolation and identification of Candida species, which has a high selectivity. A high glycine concentration is used to inhibit bacterial growth on the agar. The typical appearance of the different fungi makes them very easy to distinguish after incubation.
