Lovely antique silver rope albertina chain with T bar, albert clasp and anchor pendant. The albertina has silver ball highlights and the anchor is substantial and beautifully engraved. A beautiful and unique necklace.

The T bar is hallmarked for Birmingham 1906 with the makers mark H.B possibly for Herbert Bushell of Northampton St, Birmingham. The chain and anchor are not hallmarked but I have acid tested them for silver. As the chain was not quite long enough for a necklace I have added some vintage sterling silver chain. 

An Albertina chain is a elaborate watch chain predominately worn by women and was the feminine version of an Albert watch chain. More delicate and decorative they were worn as a piece of jewellery as well as a chain for a pocket watch, sometimes decorated with tassels, charms and as in this case silver beads.

The total length of the chain is 48cm, the T bar measure 4cm and the anchor and chain drop measures 4cm.

This unique piece of jewellery may have signs of wear due to its history. It is beautifully imperfect and should be treated with love and care. This watch chain necklace is in great antique condition
