The Shard Bangle by Ami Doshi Shah is from the Memento Mori collection, a collection that plays on the popular symbolic trope which acts as a reminder of the cycles of life. The Bangle is made from polished brass and lava stone with an open entrance with one shard shaped edge and one blunt edge.

The lava stone comes from Kenya, is crushed and mixed with resin to create the dark inset. Lava stone is also considered to have grounding metaphysical properties offering protection from past traumas and offering the wearer serenity. 

Ami Doshi Shah's Memento Mori draws on a somber and muted material palette of sterling silver, brass, pearls and lava stone - symbolising the light and shadow - and juxtaposed with the brand's distinct aesthetic of clean lines against organic form and texture.
