Alata Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia alata) is a tall, elegant carnivorous plant with slender green pitchers that can be streaked or flushed with red. These upright pitchers attract insects with nectar and guide them into the tube, where they’re trapped and digested. Native to the Gulf Coast region of the U.S., it enjoys plenty of sun and consistently moist soil.
