Named for the bay that the Glenglassaugh distillery overlooks, Sandend features malt finished in ex-bourbon, ex-oloroso, and ex-manzanilla casks bottled at a robust and flavorful 101 proof.  Scents of vanilla bean, tropical fruit, honey, minerality, and a fresh coastal breeze round out a beautiful nose.  The palate opens with notes of tropical and orchard fruits followed by honeycake, vanilla, and ginger.  Baking spices linger through the finish, complimented by an ocean-breeze salinity.  Named Whisky Advocate's 2023 Whisky of the Year.
