Being in a relationship is much like engaging in improvisational ballroom dancing--neither of the couple know the song in advance and only by focusing on the other would they be saved from missteps, pratfalls, and awkward moves.
Their eyes meet (maybe across a crowded room) and circumstances allow them to engage in, say, a tango or a swing.
The approach, the smolder, and the frisson when hands first touch shoulder and waist are moments the brain preserves like snapshots or seconds-long videos, "quickies" of a sort.
The styles can be change from tango to foxtrot to cha-cha to walts so slow dancing sometimes described as "romance in motion"
The pieces features in this anthology range from couples roasting each other on social media; a "treatise" on love; declarations that come across as either quirky, angst-ridden, or bordering on erotic; and some that are the equivalent of screaming one's agony into the abyss.
