Bakhshayesh is a village in the Heriz weaving district of northwest Iran. Bakhshayesh weavers produced a distinct sub-tradition: larger-scale geometric medallions than the Heriz core, an earthier and more golden palette than the high-grade Serapi pieces, and somewhat looser drawing that came from working at greater scale on village looms. The result is a Heriz that reads structurally serious but with more warmth than the rigorous central-Heriz tradition.
Distinct from the cohort's Gray Patchwork anchor in two ways: this piece replaces the patchwork's segmented field with a unified gold medallion, and the palette runs warmer through the antique-gold accents.
1200 Reeds (1200 شانه) on premium cotton warp; density over 3,000,000 knots/m² (تراکم). Engineered consistency.
Stocked in 3×6, 3×10, 5×7.5, 6.5×10, 8.2×11.5, 10×13 ft. Strongest at 6.5×10 to 10×13 — Bakhshayesh-scale design needs room to declare itself.
Best for: rooms wanting structural seriousness with warmth — the Bakhshayesh register flatters transitional Sacramento homes that blend traditional bones with current finishes.
Skip if the brief is segmented-patchwork (use the Gray Patchwork anchor) or strictly cool-modern (the gold accents pull warm).
