What is red clover?

Red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) is nothing more than a meadow clover commonly found in meadows and parks. It is a plant belonging to the legume family, occurring naturally throughout Europe, as well as in central Asia and northern Africa. Despite the low environmental requirements it needs to grow and bloom, the plant is rich in numerous biologically active substances, such as vitamins and minerals, anthocyanins and  isoflavones .

How does red clover work?

Clover has long been known and valued in traditional folk medicine as an effective remedy for many ailments, including: with the skeletal or circulatory system. Recently, clover has also gained particular popularity as a means of alleviating the symptoms of women's menopause, i.e.  menopause .

Compounds called isoflavones are considered to be the main active ingredient of red clover, which is responsible for alleviating the symptoms of menopause  . Research has proven that their structural similarity to female sex hormones (estrogens) means that in many cases they can replace their administration, giving a similar positive effect, without the unfavorable side effects accompanying hormonal therapy. Red clover is therefore an ideal support for the female body during the difficult period of menopause, improving comfort and well-being by alleviating unfavorable symptoms such as hot flashes, excessive sweating, anxiety and irritability.

What is the standardization and origin of the extract ?

When deciding to supplement red clover, it is worth paying attention to standardization, i.e. the strength of the extract. Products available on the market are based on non-standardized extracts or simply on dried, powdered plant material with a much lower content of active ingredients.

The extract contained in our product is of high quality and 8% standardized to isoflavones. This means that each capsule contains as much as 40 mg of isoflavones, the main active ingredient of red clover.
