Our Orange/White/Orange 60/90/60 durometer squeegee blade gives you the benefits of the 60 durometer blade edge, allowing for a good deposit of ink. With the 90 durometer spine, it allows for greater pressure to be applied during printing with minimal squeegee blade deflection. This squeegee blade allows for more ink to be laid down compared to an 80 duro blade.
Squeegee blades are custom formulated to achieve high solvent resistance and excellent abrasion resistance. This combination results in a squeegee blade that will better maintain its durometer when subjected to aggressive inks and solvents, showing minimal swelling during the print run, while retaining its sharp edge longer. This allows for continued quality during the screen print run, thereby increasing productivity.
Screen printers face many obstacles during production including difficult inks and irregular substrates at the press. Screen printing inks come with a wide variety of characteristics including some with extreme properties such as solvent additives and high and low viscosity. These variables require a wide variety of squeegee material to ensure printability and consistent results. In fact, there are a number of screen printers who are settling for sub-standard results because they simply haven’t been introduced to the squeegee types that are specifically designed for the inks or substrates they are using.
Note: Squeegee handle sold separately.
