Hajime Okamoto, born in Osaka, Japan in 1942, draws inspiration from his cultural exchange experiences in China. His focus on calligraphy, painting, and Zen concepts shines through in his creations. The Kabamaru series made its debut in 1998 and has since become Okamoto's most renowned work.
