The flanges are separate components in this set—you'll need to weld or bolt them to your tubing before connecting with the clamp. Welding is the standard method for a permanent seal.

Will this clamp work with TIG-welded stainless tubing?

Yes. V-band clamps lock onto any smooth, flat flange face. Just verify your flanges are cut square and parallel for an even grip.

How tight should I cinch the clamp band?

Tighten until the clamp stops turning and the flanges are flush—do not over-torque. You're compressing the V-wedge into the flange groove, not crushing the band itself. Hand-tight plus a quarter turn is usually enough.
